Love School, Love Learning, Love God
Welcome to Victoria Church of England Infant and Nursery School website, and thank you for your interest in our school. I hope this website will answer many of your questions about who we are and what we do, but please remember that there is no substitute for a visit. I invite you to come and meet our staff and children, and experience for yourselves our school values being lived out and the warmth of a Victoria School welcome.
This is indeed a school where every child matters. This is reflected in the school’s commitment to inclusive education within an explicit Christian context. We are a Church school which welcomes everyone. It is important to us to focus on knowing your child as the unique being they are.
The school’s caring ethos is at the heart of all we do. We seek to nurture the “Whole child” for the time they are entrusted to us. Alongside academic progress, it is equally important to us that the children are given opportunities to develop their social skills, self-esteem and independence. My goal is to make sure that all children receive the greatest possible benefit from their time at Victoria School, and that they achieve their full potential, recognising and celebrating their own achievements and aspirations, as well as those of others.
My vision, shared by the staff, is for all our children to experience a happy and encouraging early childhood education in which they flourish.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Governing Board as Foundation Governors. It requires10-14 hours of your time per month during school term time, and involves a combination of evening meetings (starting at 7pm), some visits to the school during the day (can be done at a time that could suit working people) and reading through documents/writing up notes. You'll be joining a friendly, 12- strong team of Governors. We're asking for a minimum 1 year commitment, and you'll receive free training and support. Anyone with enthusiasm for children's education and the time available is welcome to apply. We're particularly interested in applicants with expertise in IT systems or buildings maintenance. Spaces are available to start now or in September.
For more information or to express your interest in joining, please contact the school office.
