Aims & Vision

Our vision at Victoria is to provide our children an outstanding start to their educational life within a nurturing and inclusive Christian community.

Our aim is that every child at Victoria:

  • gets a flying start to their education and personal development
  • has the fundamental literacy and numeracy skills and learning techniques to achieve their full educational potential
  • knows, understands and lives by core human and Christian values
  • enjoys a creative and enjoyable curriculum that focuses on developing the whole child
  • understands the environment in which they live and how to protect it (such as eco and fair trade)
  • is developing skills, from an early age, for the modern world (such as technology)
  • is encouraged and recognised for their personal achievement and the schools overall success
  • is happy, safe, inspired and challenged to be the best they can be and achieve to their full potential

Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
