Harvest Festival

It is beginning to feel very autumnal with the colder weather and darker nights drawing in. I especially enjoy this time of year when you see all the bright colours of the leaves and we get to celebrate harvest time. 

It was lovely to see so many parents, grandparents, friends and relatives in the church on Wednesday for our Harvest Festival. The children's singing, poetry and artwork were brilliant and the whole event was very uplifting. Many thanks for all your generous donations to DENS and Kings Road Church.

Individual School Photos-Tuesday 11 October

Please ensure your child is dressed smartly in full school uniform on Tuesday next week as the school photographer is coming to take individual/sibling group photos. This includes those who have PE on Tuesday and would normally come dressed in PE kit. These children should bring their PE kits with them. 

Parent Consultations

Parent consultations are being held on Tuesday 18 October from 4.30 to 7.00 and Wednesday 19 October from 3.30 to 6.00, Nursery have an additional date of Thursday 20 October. These will be face to face and the online booking letter has been sent out for you to book a slot.

Lunchboxes and Snacks

As we pride ourselves in being a healthy school, please could the food in your child’s lunch box or snack not include sweets. We also have had a situation where a child kindly gave one of their items of food to another child. Although this was done with good intentions, we will be reminding children in school about not sharing snacks because of allergies.

Tours for parent/carers interested in a Reception place at Victoria for September 2023 will be taking place on the following dates. Please contact the school Office on 01442 865781 if you would like to book a place.

Thursday 20 October: 9:00am

Tuesday 1 November: 2:00pm

Monday 7 November: 9:00am

Wednesday 23 November: 11.00am

Tours for Nursery places in September 2023 will take place in January 2023.

Open Mornings for prospective parents/carers

Tuesday 15 November 2022 at 9:00am

Thursday 17 November 2022 at 9:00am

For entry into Year 3, or into another year group, or if you’re considering Reception and want to see what Thomas Coram offers for junior age children after they leave infant school.

Free School Meals

Staff Vacancies

There is still time to apply for if you are interested in working at Victoria. We have a vacancy for an After School Assistant Supervisor and After School Assistant, 5 afternoons a week. For more details and to apply click here.

Star of the Week

Acorn - Georgia for always being so positive and helpful around the Nursery.

Ash - Oscar for having a positive attitude at school and trying hard.

Oak - Marcia for super participation during phonics.

Beech - Wren for an all round fantastic week.

Cedar - Isaac for showing improved focus in his lessons and being helpful around the classroom.

Hazel - Iasmin for trying really hard in English and maths.  Miss Davies is really seeing an improvement.

Rowan - Henry for going above and beyond in all his lessons
