Notices and Reminders
It has been a fun packed week for the children and I can't believe how much we have fitted in over 4 days. It has been lovely to see everyone getting excited about the Coronation and what ever you are doing over this weekend, take a moment to reflect on this historic event. Enjoy the extended bank holiday and see you back on Tuesday!
Coronation Celebration
Everyone looked very colourful today wearing red, white and blue. Even though the weather was against us we all enjoyed our picnic together and were amazed at the variety of different natural crowns the children had made. Thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to come to help with the Coronation Patchwork. We will send a picture out once it has all been put together to share the wonderful work.
Julia Jarman Visit
The children were really engaged during our visit from Julia Jarman where they got to listen to different stories, join in with songs and actions and learn about the process of writing a book from the original idea to the finished book. Thank you to all the families that came to buy a book and get it signed, it was a wonderful end to a brilliant day. I received an email from a parent to say that their child was so inspired that they are writing a sequel called Class Four What's Scratching at the Door? It is fantastic when these events inspire a future generation of authors or illustrators.
Save the Date- Walk to School Week 15-19 May
Next week I will be sending out details about our walk to school week and every child will also receive a Walk to School booklet to help inspire them to walk each day through engaging activities and discussion ideas. The theme this year is 'Walk with Wild Life'.
Parent Survey
Please take this opportunity to have your say about the school and once we have collected the results, we will share the findings with you. Thank you in advance for completing as we really want to hear from you about what is going well and find out areas for development.
