If you've not got much time please read:

  • School Travel Plan
  • Sunhats, Sun Cream and Shade

At last the sun has made an appearance and hopefully it will continue into the half term. What ever your plans, have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing you all for the last term of the year on Monday 5 June.

Sunhats, Sun Cream and Shade

With the sunny days finally here, we would like to remind everyone about bringing in sunhats to school. We have limited shade on the playground so it really helpful if children have their hats in school. Please also apply sun cream before your child arrives at school.

Headlice

We have had a few more cases of headlice reported in school this week. Please could you check your child's hair for any signs of headlice and treat if needed. For children with longer hair can you make sure their hair is tied back for school.

We have been busy keeping ourselves fit, with our Skip to be Fit day. All the children and staff took part in skipping to music while learning about the health benefits of skipping. We even had a 'skip off' between the highest skipping scores from the staff and the children.

Jelly Bean Maths Day

The children have been exploring jellybeans using lots of interesting maths investigations. The day was inspired by the book 'How many Jellybeans?' We had measuring with jelly beans, pictograms with our favourite flavours, estimating how many were in the jar and made patterns with jelly beans. The children were 'jelly beaned out' by the end of the day.

School Travel Plan

We are excited to announce we have achieved Bronze level on our school travel plan. Thank you for supporting all our walk to school events including our most recent 'Walk to School Week' as well as continuing to walk to school regularly. The aim of the School Travel plan is to focus on sustainable travel, improving health and fitness as well as improving congestion and pollution around the school site.
