A Word from the Bosses of the Day- Mr Beaumont and Miss Conolly

I really liked being Boss for the Day as I got to do everything.-Mr Beaumont

I hope you enjoyed Reception's Nativity and everyone did a really good job. It was great!-Miss Conolly

My bosses were great at running the school with me, they had lots of jobs and especially enjoyed the visit to the staffroom for hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Nativities
The Nativities have been going full swing this week.  Every year I am always impressed with the performances of the children and the hard work of the staff. I have also seen throughout the school wonderful work around the story of the birth of Jesus, with the children telling me in detail all the different events.  In Reception, they have enjoyed playing with the nativity set, acting out the different characters which brought the story to life.
Diocese School Visit

We also had a visit from the Diocese, looking at the work we do as a church school.  Rosemary was very complementary of the work we have been doing with collective worship and our vision and values.  She could see that we were living the life of the values inside and beyond the school, all under the vision of 'Do everything in love' 1 Corinthians.

Thank You VSA

Last weekend our VSA worked incredibly hard to put together a brilliant Christmas fair for all the family.  The children got to visit Father Christmas and walk through a winter wonderland, as well as make decorations, face painting and lots of games.  It was a great success and the school wanted to give a big thank you to all those who volunteered to make it such an enjoyable day.

Christmas Cards

If you child is bringing in Christmas cards for other children in the school, we have decided to make it easier by getting the children to hand out the cards in class. This way we can ensure the cards are going where they need to be.  Last day for cards is Thursday 18 December.

VSA Update

What a whirlwind few weeks it has been! From joining Santa on his route with Berkhamsted Rotary's Santa's Sleigh last Thursday, to real reindeer visiting school on Friday, and then our wonderfully festive Christmas Fair on Saturday — we’ve been busy. Despite the rain, the Christmas Fair was full of cheer, and it was fantastic to see so many of you there. Thanks to your incredible support, the Christmas Fair raised £2,000 for the school!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make recent events happen, including those who supported Santa on his journey up Chesham Road, to all the brilliant bakers, stall volunteers, set‑up and clean‑up crews, and the Thomas Corum choir at the Christmas Fair.

Thank you as well to everyone who bought Christmas raffle tickets, which raised £467. The draw is taking place in school today, and winners will be contacted.
