National Poetry Day- Thursday 2 October

We are celebrating National Poetry Day which this year has the theme of 'Play'. The day is a chance to inspire a love of poetry and provides a fantastic opportunity to explore and celebrate poetry. From engaging with familiar poems we love, to the creative fulfilment of crafting new works, we will be providing poetry activities for all ages. For a wealth of children's poetry click here to view The Children's Poetry Archive where you can share together different poems.

Individual School Photos

On Wednesday 1 October, the children will be having their individual school photos. If it is your child's PE day can they come in school uniform instead of PE kit.

RE Theme Day- The Big Frieze

This week we had our RE theme day across the school. Each class looked at a piece of artwork that shows the big ideas in the Bible. Each idea takes a story from the Bible, including Creation, The Fall, Salvation and Incarnation. The children then looked at their piece in detail and created a replica of the section.  The idea was for the children to explore the timeline of the Bible in more depth and see how the stories link over time. Once each class has finished their panel, we are going to display it in school to be referred to through the year.
