Travelling Sukkah
Last Friday we had a special visit from Rabbi Neil Janes who brought along his travelling Sukkah as part of the Jewish festival of Sukkot. The children got to go into the Sukkah and learn about how it is used in the celebration. They got to see the Lulav and etrog- fruit of the goodly trees. All of the children listened so well and had lots of interesting questions to ask Rabbi Neil.
The Big Frieze
All of the children worked together to create a panel from The Big Frieze. This is a timeline of the Bible, showing significant events from creation to the Kingdom of God (Ascension). Look out for it when you are in visiting the school next and can you work out the different stories from the panels.
Poppies on SaleRemembrance poppy - Wikipedia

Our Spiritual Ambassadors will be on the playground at drop off selling poppies from Monday. If you would like to make a donation, the recommendation is a minimum of £1.

Author Visit-Paula Harrison

We also had a visit from the author Paula Harrison who talked about her book Kitty and the Missing Pumpkins. The children worked with the author to create a super person called Horse Girl who could super gallop and would be super fast.  The children love the author visits and they got to take a signed copy of the book home.
