Kindness Week WC 10 November

Next week we are celebrating Kindness Week with the help of our Kindness Ambassadors who created a week of activities. On Monday we are asking the children to wear odd socks, to celebrate how we are all unique. Then on Wednesday we will be taking part in the Positive Noticing Day. Ask your child about the label they bring home and how it made them feel. For more information on how to continue to positively notice click here.

Our Kindness Ambassadors would also like everyone to 'dress down' on Friday to raise money for 52Lives who support our Kindness Ambassador's work as well as spread kindness, one kind act at a time.  A suggested donation of £1 at 52 Lives - JustGiving will help.

What will the funds be used for?

52 Lives has helped to change many lives over the years thanks to funds donated by supporters. Recent examples include: buying a bed for a young carer who was sleeping on the floor; buying a seizure monitor for a teenage boy to give him more independence; providing food and wellbeing packs for elderly people on their own; and purchasing books and computers for vulnerable children.

Remembrance Day

On Tuesday 11 November, our Spiritual Ambassadors will be laying a wreath at St Peter's Church, just before 11am. They will get to take part in the minute silence and be representing Victoria School as we show our respect along with the community of Berkhamsted.

Congratulations to Mrs Stiles
We are excited to announce that Mrs Stiles is expecting her first child in March.  During her maternity leave, Miss Lea will be covering Ash class who has already worked with the children last term.  We can't wait to meet the new arrival and I am sure you will want to join us in congratulating Mrs Stiles.
