Physical Education
Good health supports successful learning. Successful learners support health. Education and health are inseparable.

At Victoria School we want our children to live healthy, active lifestyles and take with them our chosen concepts for PE which are health, competition, friendship, teamwork, sharing and resilience. We strive for the children to thrive physically and mentally, enabling them to cope with both success and failure in life. We aim to provide an inclusive environment which we do through our scheme, Get Set PE adapting our lessons to enable each child to move forward in their physical development.
We offer a broad range of sports through our lessons and clubs (both teacher led and external providers) which gives children additional opportunities to engage with a variety of sporting disciplines. We are also part of the Dacorum Sports Partnership which allows us to participate in sports competitions while developing resilience through winning and losing. Children in our Nursery and Reception classes receive daily access to activities indoors and outdoors that build upon their fine and gross motor development as well as a one-hour PE lesson each week.
